Bre Harris was born and raised in the South suburbs of Chicago. The church and worship ministry has always been part of her life. Her parents are both ministers at Kingdom Life Worship Center in Markham, Illinois. At the young age of 5 years old she began singing in the church’s adult choir as its youngest soloist. As Bre continued to grow in the church she served there in a variety of ways, from singing in the youth and children choirs in addition to the adult choir to praise dancing and serving as the pastor’s aide. Throughout her upbringing she had the privilege of ministering through song all over the United States.
Bre began writing song lyrics and musical arrangements at eight years old. She attended college at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she studied Worship Arts. As a student Bre was a part of the leadership teams for Cornerstone’s chapel choir and gospel choir. These group ministered at a variety of venues in five different countries.
Since 2015 Bre has served as Worship Director at a local church in Holland, Michigan. She is also involved at Hope College overseeing the gospel choir and other special music ensembles. In addition to empowering students at Hope to deepen their relationships with Christ through worship she also is an instructor for Awaking Worship Institute. This summer intensive is designed to encourage high school students to engage in ministry through their local churches. Bre collaborated with Pillar Church on the Theophilus project, a collection of music inspired by the Gospel of Luke. Theophilus was released in 2016. Bre has spent the last few months working Dove Award winning producer Tommee Profitt to release her debut album on April 20, 2018. You can find her featured in the Fall 2017 issue of RCA Today as one of the “Seven People Doing Powerful Ministry Through Worship”
